Julie Krygsman has been on the Cresskill Marching Band staff since the fall of 2005.
At first Mrs. Krygsman worked exclusively with training drum majors additionally she is now completing her sixth season as a color guard advisor. Mrs. Krygsman began her studies of conducting, baton, mace, flag and rifle twirling in 1998 and went on to be the 2000/2001 drum majorette of the Clifton Mustang Band traveling to England and Wales leading the band. She has been giving private and group instruction on twirling, conducting and conditioning ever since. She has also trained drum majors at Saddle Brook High School and Clifton High School. With over twenty years of dance and trombone playing experience, she provides a very well-rounded musical approach to articulating movement in field performance.
Mrs. Krygsman enjoys a unique career of being a freelance trombonist, instructor and aerial acrobat. She has performed with Imperial Brass, Gramercy Brass, Gemini Brass and artists such as Warren Vache and Phil Smith. Her acrobatic performances on aerial silks have been taken her to many locations in New York City, Arizona, Connecticut and New Jersey. She is currently in the professional program at Circus Warehouse in Long Island City with concentrated training in silks, contortion, high wire and flying trapeze.
