Each time we begin a new scale, we will begin a new rhythm and sightreading sheet in the key of that scale
We will learn how to count the rhythms as well as play the lines."
On the Level 1 Ab Sightreading, we will touch upon dotted quarter notes, half rests and introduce the 3/4 time signature.
Remember to write the counts for a rest ABOVE the rest, so that we remember to think the counts that we do not play.
We also need to write the 2nd number for dotted quarter notes above so that we remember to count through the entire length of the note.
