Rhythm Sheet Instructions

  1. Write in the counts for each note BELOW the note
  2. Write in the counts for each rest ABOVE the note
  3. For notes longer than quarter notes, write all the beats below the note, but place all notes after the initial beat above and to the right of that note. i.e. for a half note on beat one, write: 1 below and the 2 above and to the right.
  4. Remember, when counting the rhythms out loud, all notes written ABOVE the rests or placed in parentheses should not be spoken. Only say the beats the notes are played on.
