Tri-M – Cresskill Music Department

Those who are eligible will be notified during the first semester of the 2018-2019 school year and will receive an acceptance letter.

In order to qualify for or remain as a member of Tri-M, each candidate/member must:
1. Maintain a minimum School GPA of "3.45."
2. Maintain a music department GPA of "3.7" or better.
3. Perform in at least 1 musical ensemble at CHS outside of Concert Band or Concert Choir. This ensemble responsibility must be met for the entire year. Students may not join for half a year and then leave the group. Exceptions are only made at the teacher's discretion if a student joins a group and then is not needed due to the choice of literature for the season. (i.e. Bass Clarinet in orchestra or other examples)
4. Put in 10 or more hours of community service (music related) before date TBD Opportunities for hours are available on the cork board outside the band room.

NEW MEMBERS must meet all the above requirements as well as:
1. Perform a pre-approved solo or small ensemble piece for Mr. Verderese or Mr. Von Glahn.

The audition piece approval deadline is date TBD.
The deadline for this performance is date TBD.
Failure to meet this deadline will result in removal from the TRI-M organization.
