Jazz Band

The band rehearses on Thursday nights throughout the entire school year. There will be an absence limit of 5 absences for ANY reason. A 6th absence will result in removal from the group. Below is the tentative schedule for the entire school year of 2012-2013. Some rehearsals needed to be shifted to Wednesday nights to accommodate other events in and around the music department and school.


The jazz band performs at the Winter and Spring concerts, as well as Cabaret night, a jazz festival, Trumpets Jazz Club and the Rotary Club Dinner. There is an expectation that everyone will prepare their music before coming to rehearsals, as this is an auditioned ensemble.
